You can now discard your METRO Q fare card. If your Q fare card is registered and you haven't used all of the funds, you can transfer the balance to your new RideMETRO Fare Card at any of our 13 RideStore locations:

Yes. You can have both a physical and virtual card, but they won't be linked. They will each have their own funds and retain their own rewards and transfers.
If you wish to have a physical RideMETRO Fare Card and a virtual RideMETRO Fare Card, you should set up a virtual card in the RideMETRO app first. Do not convert your physical card into a virtual card, as the process will deactivate it, rendering it useless.
Yes.
Students, seniors (65 years of age or older), and qualified veterans can apply online for a RideMETRO Discount Fare Card.
People with a disability who are not eligible for METROLift must apply for a RideMETRO Discount Fare Card in-person at a METRO RideStore.
Once you've obtained your RideMETRO Discount Fare Card, you can convert the physical card to a virtual card in the RideMETRO app.
